Chapter One: Introduction

In 1885, Sir John Lubbock conducted amazing research on the mental abilities of animals.

In 1930, Joseph Banks Rhine invented Zener cards for testing ESP, but used them only on humans.

Now, in 1994, science allows you to take the next step: testing your own pet for psychic powers, without leaving your own home.

For centuries, scientists have debate

d the possibilities of Extrasensory Perception, or ESP. Do psychic powers exist? Can people move objects with their minds? Can people forsee the future, or “see” items that are hidden from their eyes? Can one person transmit thoughts to another?

In the centuries that they have spent searching for answers to these questions, scientists have developed invaluable tools. With the scientific aids in this package, you can test your pet for THREE types of psychic power!

Precognition: the ability to see the future. Great psychics have always had the ability to see the future. The visions of prophets, or of seers such as Nostradamus, fill our history books.

Every farmer knows that animals have precognition as well. And many of us have seen our pets act strangely before an earthquake. In Petaluma, California in 1988, a family dog and two pet cats awakened a family and guided them outside, twenty minutes before the earthquake hit which destroyed their home. There are many recorded cases of pets anticipating fires, hurricanes and cosmic phenomena.

Your Pet ESP Cards can be used to test your pet for precognition. See chapter two for details.

Clairvoyance: the ability to see images beyond the sight of the eyes (from the French for clear seeing). In flashes of clairvoyance, people have seen events taking place hundreds of miles away, even on the other side of the Earth.

Such experiences are most common when a loved one experiences great stress or trauma. Harry Houdini, for example, had a clairvoyant vision of his mother’s death at the instant she died — even though he was trapped under the ice of a frozen river, many miles away, at the time.

Even skeptics admit that pets often seem to respond to visions different from those seen by you or me. Could it be that they see things happening far away, via clairvoyance? Pet ESP cards lets you test, as we show in chapter three.

Telepathy: the transmission of thought. Old soldiers tell of psychic cries for help, answered in the nick of time. Many have experienced the eerie sensation of having one’s thoughts answered, even before speaking.

Pets seem to know how we’re thinking, even when we don’t talk. And pets raised by people who speak another language have no trouble understanding commands given to them in English. Can it be that the pet reads our minds directly? Chapters four and five will show you how to test two kinds of telepathy: Telepathy Between Pets and Telepathy between Pets and Humans.

Note: Throughout the following we refer to animals as “her” and “she.” This is not intended to mean that our techniques work only for females. These methods have been tested on men and women, cats and dogs, even plants!

In the final chapter of this guidebook (Parapsychology: the Science), we discuss some of the research which has, over the course of many decades, refined the training techniques contained in this book. As it indicates, evidence of psychic abilities has been found is a huge range of organisms under an almost fantastic array of settings.

Note as well that we sometimes refer to animals as “pets” in this document. We recognize, of course, that this term may be demeaning to the animals which play such important roles in our lives. We hope a better term appears soon.
